Modernization of machine W160HD was accomplished in the Czech Republic. The machine was then shipped to the customer in India where it was successfully installed by VH services.
VH services implemented the following scope of works:
- Extension of column by 2 m (application of special extension piece).
- New Y-axis feed ball screw (travel of headstock).
- Adjusting screws and modification of column for easier adjustment of its perpendicularity.
- Extension of ladder.
- Extension of telescopic cover underneath headstock.
- New bellows cover of Y-axis feed ball screw.
- Replacement of feed ball screws for travels of spindle and ram.
- Extension and reinforcement of guiding of counterweight.
- New wire ropes for headstock balancing.
- Modification of sag between column and headstock.
- Complete adjustment of geometrical accuracy of W160HD including rot. table S35C.
